Color: Generally dun with dorsal stripes.
Character: Intelligent, willing, energetic, vast stamina.
Physique: Medium-sized head; straight face, wideset, intelligent eyes, rather small ears. Short, muscular neck, shoulder somewhat upright, powerful front. Straight back with well-sprung ribs, sloping quarters. Legs strong and clean, though light of bone. Hard, well-shaped feet.
The Zemaituka, descended centuries ago from the Asiatic Wild Horse crossed with the Arab, is one of the toughest ponies to be found anywhere.It can live on fodder that most ponies would not consider edible, survive theharshest climatic conditions, and still do 40 miles a day.
